DESERT ROSE HOUSE

This is the perfect spot to experience Eleuthera. The home has everything you need. It seems like you have the whole Island to your self…virtually no one sharing the miles long beach. The kitchen is well equipped. The Island Farm is nearby to supply delicious produce for an island cooked meal. Plenty of good restaurants nearby for excellent local Bahamian fare. To get a true Caribbean experience spend a week or more at the Desert Rose and fall in love with Eleuthera. You will not want to leave, and will vow to return.

My spouse and I had a fabulous and restful vacation at Desert Rose. The property is well maintained and charmingly appointed; the deck views and the beach itself are stunningly beautiful. The property is also well located for many activities and venues near Governor’s Harbour. Our hosts and their caretaker were remarkably gracious and responsive in every way. We were provided with everything we could have possibly wanted or needed. We plan to return again as soon as is possible.

We have been vacationing on Eleuthera for five years, staying in different houses each time. Monticello Estate was hands down our favorite experience! Barbara and Luciano are very helpful, responsive, honest and kind people. Daniel, the caretaker – is absolutely great! The house was more beautiful than the photos. The property is well groomed and maintained. We will be back soon. Absolutely loved it! Thank you, Barbara, Luciano and Daniel for a great trip.

Great private little bungalow directly on the beach. Loved snorkeling just in front of the house and the privacy of the beach. You will absolutely need a rental car to get around but you’re so close to governors harbor and Eleuthera farms you wont have to go far to find all you need. Perfect for a quiet getaway.

My fiancé and I decided choose a place that we could enjoy that did not include thousands of people joining us at the beach. Oh boy did we we hit a home run on this little gem. We didn’t see one person for three days! When we did we met out wonderful neighbors who spend 6 months a year on the island. We walked the beach every day. We even discovered a handsome little resort about a mile Down the beach where we enjoyed a couple brick oven pizza’s and cocktails one evening on the beach.

Our host Daniel and his wife Julia were incredible!! We did not expect to have someone look out for us like they did. When we needed Something they were there with the answer. They made us feel like family. The locals probably made the trip. I’ve been to other islands and have never experienced so much love from the locals. It felt like we had known them for years.

Need directions? Seriously just stop in any neighborhood and ask any person and they will go above and beyond to help. If they are not sure they will call someone to get you the right answer. I’m not kidding it’s incredible. Throw that on top of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen and well heck we canceled our July 3rd wedding and said our vows to each other on the beach at The Desert Roses. We will be back every year going forward. I’m afraid if we don’t we will be disappointed in anything else.
